To my leader; Happy International Women's Day!

Each year, I celebrate "International Women's Day" by publishing a post about Women Empowerment and the lack of support amongst women, which I have witnessed throughout my career. This is the first year where I am changing the tone and giving credit where it's due.
This year I am changing the narrative and I want to recognize a woman who embodies what that support looks like.
Over the past year I had the privilege of working under a leader who redefined leadership for me. Not through titles or visibility but through consistency. Through the way she shows up for her team every single day.
She leads with integrity and by showing up and standing behind her people. And when it matters most, she does not hesitate to advocate for them, even when the conversations are difficult (I know they are, thank you!).
What resonated with me most is how aligned we are in how we view leadership: people come first, accountability matters and the decisions we make as leaders must be owned.
Last but not least, her ambition is inspiring. She deserves her success as it was earned through consistency, courage and hard work.
Maybe she does not realize this but she taught me more about leadership than any other leaders combined. Her guidance has shaped the way I manage my team and the standards I hold as a leader myself.
I am currently on maternity leave but one thing I am looking forward is heading back and working alongside her again. When you've had the opportunity to work alongside a leader that recognises her people first, you will notice how rare that is.
If you have worked closely with me this past year, you will recognize who I am referring to.
Today I celebrate women who lead this way.
Thank you for setting the bar.
Happy International Women's Day!
